Today we boarded the Shinkansen for the first time today and our reactions were priceless. We couldn't believe how fast they went even if it felt normal when on the train. We traveled from Hakone to Hiroshima eating our first Obento lunch on the way. We visited a Zen garden as the dark clouds came over it was so peaceful. We then got some free time to shop around the area for gifts and other things. Once shopping time was done we all met up and headed out to find some tea. We has to run through the pouring rain to get to our restaurant. There we ate a dish called Okonomiyaki which consisted off thin pancake, meat or squid, cabbage, egg, spices and many other things topped with a sauce and mayonnaise. Everyone thought it was extremely delicious. After dinner we walked out of the restaurant to find we were yet again running through the rain. Most of us got soaked through but made up for it by shopping. To finish the night we went to a donut shop and got all kinds of different donuts that tastes really nice. We headed back on full stomachs and aching feet ready for a good sleep.
Today we got up early, had a nice breakfast at the hotel and made our way to the train station for the journey to Disneyland. It took three trains but the wait was worth it. We went on many different rides, however it could take up to 2 and a half hours to get on one ride. When we were smart enough to get fast passes we could go straight to the front of the line, this made things a lot easier. We had a nice lunch and met at 1.30 to watch this happiness festival with all of Disney's favourite characters. This was exciting and fun for all. After we had finished the rides we met and decided to go to an all you can eat western style restaurant. With delicious foods and eventually full stomachs we were happy to go and watch Disney's Electric Lights Festival. This had many cool lights and amazing sights. After the light show had finished, we mad the most of the awesome opportunity to witness the iconic Disney fire works. After the fire works had finished, we made our way back to the hotel and everyone was happy to rest. |
